Need help setting up your email on a MacBook? Follow the steps below for quick and easy configuration or contact us for personalized assistance.

Email Setup: MacBook

  1. Open the Mail app on your MacBook.
  2. From the menu bar, click Mail, then select Add Account.
  3. Choose Other Mail Account and click Continue.
  4. Enter your name, email address (e.g., user@yourdomain.com), and password, then click Sign In.
  5. If the automatic setup fails, you’ll need to manually configure the settings. Select IMAP as the account type and enter the following details:
    • Incoming Mail Server: host.cyberdevs.co.za
    • Port: 993
    • Encryption: SSL/TLS
    • Username: Your full email address
    • Password: Your email password
  6. For the Outgoing Mail Server, enter the following:
    • SMTP Server: host.cyberdevs.co.za
    • Port: 587
    • Encryption: Auto/STARTTLS
    • Username: Your full email address
    • Password: Your email password
  7. Click Sign In. If the credentials are correct, your email will be added successfully.
  8. Test sending and receiving emails to ensure the setup is working correctly.
