Need help setting up your email in Mozilla Thunderbird? Follow the steps below for easy configuration or contact us for personalized assistance.

Email Setup: Mozilla Thunderbird

  1. Open Mozilla Thunderbird and go to Account Settings by clicking on the menu button (three horizontal lines) in the top-right corner.
  2. Select Account Actions > Add Mail Account.
  3. Fill in the following details and click Continue:
    • Your Name: Enter your name.
    • Email Address: Enter your full email address (e.g., user@yourdomain.com).
    • Password: Enter your email account password.
  4. Click Manual Config and enter the following settings:
    • Incoming Server:
      • Protocol: IMAP
      • Hostname: host.cyberdevs.co.za
      • Port: 993
      • SSL: SSL/TLS
      • Authentication: Normal password
    • Outgoing Server (SMTP):
      • Hostname: host.cyberdevs.co.za
      • Port: 587
      • SSL: STARTTLS
      • Authentication: Normal password
  5. Click Re-Test. Thunderbird will confirm the settings are correct.
  6. Click Done to complete the setup process.
