Configuring emails on iPhone

A guide to help you configure your email on iPhone
  1. Select Settings on the home screen
  2. Select Mail, Contacts, Calendars
  3. Select Add Account
  4. Select Other
  5. Fill in the following information:
    • Name: The name you wish to appear to your recipients
    • Email Address: email@yourdomain.co.za
    • Password: Your Email Password
    • Description: This is a label for the email Click Save.
  6. – Select the POP tab
  7. – Enter the Incoming Mail Server settings.
    • Host Name: yourdomain.co.za
    • User Name: email@yourdomain.co.za
    • Password: (will be auto-populated)
  8. – Enter the Outgoing Mail Server settings.
    • Host Name: yourdomain.co.za
    • User Name: email@yourdomain.co.za
    • Password: Your Email Password
  9. – You will receive the following message: Cannot connect using SSL. Do you want to try setting up the account without SSL? Click NO.
  10. – The same message will re-appear Click NO
  11. – Another message will appear This account may not be able to send or receive emails. Are you sure you want to save? Click SAVE.
  12. – Select the newly created account
  13. – Scroll down and click the Advanced button.
  14. – Set Use SSL to off.
  15. – Authentication: Your Email Password
  16. – The email should work. If you can receive emails but not send then your outgoing mail server needs to be set to your mobile operator’s settings. This we will unfortunately not be able to set up for you.
